19 Days Until I Fly Out!

The Chick-fil-A fundraiser went really, really well. It was amazing to see to see so many friends come in to support me. I had a blast hanging out with everybody and catching up with old and new friends alike. The two hours passed really quickly and were really encouraging. It raised a total of $135.93.

Also, I talked to one of my coworkers the other day at Chick-fil-A and he told me about his church. They seem to be very missions-minded and very generous. It's been hard to get a hold of them, but I'm hoping I will be able to speak at that church this upcoming Sunday. Please pray that I will be able to contact the church and that the congregation is generous.

I'm trusting God to provide. I'm looking into doing another fundraiser with Cafe 180. They give 50% instead of just the 15% that Chick-fil-A gave me. I'm going to contact them and see when I can set that up. Prayers for that would be fantastic.

Interestingly enough, my flight down to Jamaica is the same flight as one of my fellow YWAMers. I've been facebook messaging her, and we are going to meet up at the airport before the flight and start to get to know each other. I'm pretty excited about it.

My Chick-fil-A fundraiser it this upcoming Tuesday (the 19th).

So far I have raised $140 on my online fundraiser. I still have close to $7,000 to raise. I'm trusting God that this DTS is where He is leading me and that He will provide. I'm hoping to call some churches and see if I can speak at them to help raise funds. Also, I'm putting together a fundraiser where I will be selling Pizza Hut gift cards. Hopefully that will go well. Continued prayer on your end will be greatly appreciated. 

Also, there is now a Facebook page that has been set up for everyone that will be on my DTS. I'm really looking forward to beginning to get to know the people who will also be doing my same DTS. 

Over all, other than funding, I'm basically ready to go. And I'm even getting the chance to start befriending my fellow YWAMers. I'm really looking forward to this DTS. I leave in less than a month (September 13th) and it's starting to become more and more real.

Tickets and Chicken

I have now bought my roundtrip tickets for Jamaica!! They were only $513.53 for roundtrip tickets. Which was a huge blessing, for them to be so cheap. I have my grandmother (on my mom's side) to thank for them. Thank you so much!!! It is starting to feel very real, now that I have the tickets purchased.

Also, I am doing a fundraiser at Chick-fil-A August 19th. It will be from 5:30-7:30pm. I will be holding it at the Chick-fil-A at 52nd and Wadsworth for all who want to come. All you have to do is show up and say you are a part of Tim's fundraiser and 15% of what you pay will be donated to me from Chick-fil-A. You can come in the store or even just through the drive through. Whichever is easiest for you. It is a perfect excuse to "git mor chikin" and help me out in raising funds for my YWAM trip.

Over all, my fundraising has not been picking up very much. I would love it if you would consider giving me some funds to help me out. You can donate to me directly at this website here. Every little bit helps. Even if it is only $5 I appreciate all the help you can give. Thanks!
